Terms of Service
Last updated: March 4, 2026
By using VizWhiz (“the Service”), operated by Mobile Tech Media, LLC at vizwhiz.ai, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
VizWhiz provides tools for Tableau workbook analysis and AI-powered assistance:
- Free Context Extractor — a browser-based tool that parses Tableau workbook files locally on your device. No data leaves your browser.
- AI Chat — a conversational assistant that uses your workbook’s metadata (field names, calculations, relationships) to provide Tableau-specific guidance. This requires an account and stores metadata in our cloud database.
2. Accounts
To use AI Chat, you must create an account via our authentication provider (WorkOS). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Upload workbooks containing malicious code or content designed to exploit the system
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond normal use
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
4. Workbook Metadata Handling
When you use AI Chat, your workbook’s structural metadata is extracted and stored to power conversations. This includes field names, calculated field formulas, parameter definitions, relationship structures, dashboard layout information, and worksheet names.
We do not store actual data values, row-level data, raw workbook files, or source database credentials.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
5. AI-Generated Output Disclaimer
VizWhiz uses AI (powered by Anthropic’s Claude) to generate responses about your Tableau workbooks. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI responses are advisory and not guaranteed to be accurate — always validate suggestions against your own expertise and testing
- AI-generated calculations, LOD expressions, and performance recommendations should be reviewed before use in production environments
- We do not warrant that AI output will be error-free, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
- You are solely responsible for any actions taken based on AI-generated guidance
6. Intellectual Property
The VizWhiz service, including its design, code, and documentation, is our intellectual property. Your workbook metadata and conversation content remain yours. We claim no ownership over your data.
7. Payment & Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mobile Tech Media, LLC and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, all your stored workbook metadata and conversation history will be permanently removed.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
11. Trademark Attribution
Tableau is a trademark of Salesforce, Inc. VizWhiz is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Salesforce, Inc. or Tableau Software. All references to Tableau are for compatibility and descriptive purposes only.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page.
13. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
